Applicants must be an unmarried child, adopted child, or stepchild of an active duty or retired member of the USAF, ANG, or AFRC, excluding dependents of Veterans and Officers.

They must be 23 years old or younger with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and either a 12th-grade high school student or a full-time college undergraduate. Enrollment or acceptance at an accredited college or university is required.

There are no membership requirements for the applicant or sponsor, but the applicant must rely on their parent or guardian for more than half of their support. Additional information to demonstrate need or special consideration may be provided.
