Dependent spouses or children of members or former members of the Submarine Force or those who have served in submarine support activities. Spouses or children need to be in high school or enrolled as a full or part-time college student working towards an undergraduate degree or on certification through a vocational or trade school. They also need to be unmarried and under 24 years old.
USS Bowfin Memorial Scholarship
In partnership with the Pacific Fleet Submarine Memorial Association, this non-renewable scholarship supports current or former qualified submariners or their DOD-recognized spouse or child. Applicants must meet submarine service and Hawaii duty requirements. Awards include funding for four-year, two-year, and vocational programs. Applications open October 1, 2025.
Laura W. Bush Scholarship
Established in honor of former First Lady Laura Bush, this renewable scholarship is awarded to children or stepchildren of current or former crew members of USS TEXAS (SSN 775) who are Plankowners or served at least two years aboard and six years in the Submarine Force. Up to five scholarships are awarded each year.
USS Colorado (SSN 788) Scholarship
Created by the USS Colorado Commissioning Committee, this one-time scholarship is available to current or former crew members of USS Colorado or their spouse, child, stepchild, or legal dependent. Two awards are given annually.
USS Delaware (SSN 791) Scholarship
Sponsored by the USS Delaware Commissioning Committee and the State of Delaware, this one-time award is open to current or former crew members of USS Delaware and their dependents. Applicants must have served at least six months aboard.
USS Indiana (SSN 789) Diane Donald Scholarship
Honoring Medal of Honor recipients and sponsored by the USS Indiana Association, this one-time scholarship is for USS Indiana crew members or their DOD-recognized dependents who served at least 180 days. Two awards are given per year.
USS Hampton (SSN 767) Scholarship
Established by the USS Hampton Commissioning Committee, this non-renewable scholarship supports crew members and dependents with at least two years of service aboard. Two awards are available each academic year.
USS Montana (SSN 794) Scholarship
Launched in 2024 by the USS Montana Commissioning Committee, this one-time award is for current or former crew members or their dependents who served at least six months aboard. One scholarship is awarded per year.
Nautilus Scholarship
Administered by the Nautilus Scholarship Foundation, this scholarship is for spouses and descendants of USS Nautilus (SSN 571) crew members who served honorably for at least 30 days. Award amounts and number of recipients vary yearly.

Established by the USS Oregon Commissioning Committee in 2022, this non-renewable scholarship supports crew members and dependents who served at least six months aboard. One award is granted each year.
