Sponsored by the Marines’ Memorial Association and Foundation, the Dr. Nancy M. Schonher Scholarship awards a $5,000 scholarship to a woman who is: - either an active duty service member or reservist in the U.S. Armed Forces - separated honorably from U.S. Armed Forces since 2014, or - a current or former corpsman or medic in any branch of the US Armed Forces - a child or grandchild of an active Marines’ Memorial member Applicants must be enrolled in either an advanced medical program or an accredited paramedic program. Paramedic program applicants must have completed the EMT Basic training program, taken the National Registry EMT Examination, hold an EMT certificate and have at least six months’ work experience. Preference is given to Navy Corpsmen.
