The Nellie Love Butcher Music Scholarship offers a one-time award of up to $5,000 annually to one male and one female student studying piano or voice.

Special preference is given to students attending the Duke Ellington School of the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. Applicants are required to submit performance material in mp3 format with their application.

The scholarship is awarded for one year and is not automatically renewable, but recipients may reapply each year for up to four years, provided they maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.
