The Rita P. Maxwell Memorial Scholarship is generously funded by Patriot Circle members Mr. Matthies and Mrs. deBloisblancs to assist transitioning U.S. military service members pursuing undergraduate studies, particularly in the performing arts. For the 2024-2025 academic year, two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded annually.

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Honorable service in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces
  • Enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited, non-profit undergraduate program in the U.S.
  • Preference will be given to students focusing on music or theatrical arts
  • Marines' Memorial membership is not required

Qualifications:

  • Applicant must attend an accredited U.S. university or college with a music or theatrical arts focus
  • Applicant must be enrolled in a full-time accredited undergraduate program for the 2025-2026 academic year
  • Applicant must have served honorably in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces
