The U.S. Army Women's Foundation - Community College Legacy Scholarship awards up to $1,000 to support women who have served—or are descendants of women who have served—honorably in the U.S. Army, Army Reserve, or Army National Guard. This scholarship helps recipients pursue an education at an accredited community college.
To apply, students must submit:
- A short personal essay (2 pages or less).
- Official transcripts (or GED documentation).
- Proof of military service (for self or ancestor).
- Two letters of recommendation (one from an academic source).
Eligibility:
- Must be a woman who served honorably in the U.S. Army, Army Reserve, or Army National Guard, or be a lineal descendant of one.
- Must have a 2.5 GPA or GED.
- Must be currently accepted to or enrolled in an accredited community college.
- Must submit all required documentation and materials by the deadline.
Applications are submitted by mail. The scholarship funds may be used for tuition, books, fees, and school housing costs. Recipients will be notified and must submit a follow-up statement and photo.
