Specific commands, communities, or organizations can receive scholarships, as well as WOASF scholarships. It is possible to receive a WOASF scholarship and these scholarships. They are open to dependents of Navy personnel who have served or are currently serving aboard:
- USS Gerald R. Ford (ship's company, excluding Airwing)
- USS Nimitz (ship's company, excluding Airwing)
- USS Theodore Roosevelt (ship's company, excluding Airwing).
Funds can be applied only to tuition fees at an accredited college or university.
Eligibility
Must be a dependent of the ship's company (current or former member). The 8-year aviation service requirement does not apply to this scholarship.
