VAW/VRC Merit Scholarships

VVOSA has partnered with the Wings Over America Scholarship Foundation (WOASF) to simplify the application process for students. With a single online application, students can apply for multiple military-dependent scholarship opportunities.

Selection & Scholarship Details

• Scholarships are awarded based on merit and are selected by VAW/VRC community members.
• VVOSA determines the number and amount of scholarships each year.
• Funds may only be used for tuition at an accredited college or university.

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to spouses and college-age children of past and present VAW/VRC community members (officer or enlisted).
• The eight-year aviation service requirement does not apply to this scholarship.
• Applicants must be high school graduates (or equivalent) and plan to attend an accredited vocational or academic institution.
• Previous applicants and recipients may reapply.
• A maximum of two scholarships may be awarded to the same individual.
• Only students pursuing their first undergraduate degree or attending technical/vocational school are eligible.
• ROTC students are not eligible.
